With a long history of use, truck hitches are a great way for truck owners to haul a variety of gear. From trailers to fifth wheels, hitches are essential to bringing your equipment on the road. Whether your hitch needs replacement or you’re looking for a specific kind, Bruce’s Truck & Auto Accessories is here to help. We carry quality hitches that provide only the best hold while you travel. Some of the hitches we carry include:

Trailer Hitches

Trailer hitches are a great choice for anyone for a variety of reasons. Even if you think you only require a small hitch for your truck, we recommend a trailer hitch for a variety of reasons. First of all, it may be cheaper. We buy class III hitches in such volume that they are usually cheaper than the smaller hitches. Second, if you may want to get a bike rack or a carrier that slips into the hitch, the class III hitch’s 2″ square opening is much more stable. Third, if you get a bigger trailer someday, you do not want to be limited by the weight rating of your hitch.

We sell the Draw-Tite, Reese, and Curt trailer hitches, and each carries a lifetime warranty.

Hitch Balls

There are a few things you need to be careful of when getting a ball for your hitch. It must match the weight rating of your hitch, it must have the correct diameter to match your ball mount and it must be the right size to match your trailer coupler. This sounds simple, but it’s essential to your gear fitting correctly. You don’t want any unfortunate accidents occurring because something didn’t fit right on the road.

Fifth Wheel

Fifth wheel trailer hitches have some complicated ins and outs that Bruce’s Truck & Auto Accessories can help you through. With different variables that often cause confusion for customers, fifth wheel hitches are a product that our expertise will help you figure out. We sell Curt, Draw-Tite, Reese, and B&W fifth wheel hitches that are all great brands to rely on. Depending on what your specific needs are, we’ll help to find which one best works for you.

Ball Mounts

Ball mounts are another area where our team can clear up confusion. Sometimes called draw bars, hitches, or receivers, ball mounts have different weight tolerances depending on what you’re pulling. We provide ball mounts that are rated from 2,000 lbs to 30,000 lbs, from an inch and a quarter square to two inch square to two and a half inches square. Ball mounts provide a great connecting piece where needed, and will last for years without rusting when removed between pulls.

Gooseneck Hitches

Bruce’s Truck & Auto Accessories has a long track record of success with installing gooseneck hitches in the greater Kalamazoo area. The B&W turnover ball gooseneck is our most popular. The ball on this hitch can be turned over and this leaves the bed clean of obstructions. Made in America with a lifetime warranty, the B&W is a dependable piece of equipment.

Another option is putting the same rails in your truck used for a fifth wheel. You will trade versatility and cost for ease of clipping in a gooseneck plate or a fifth wheel hitch. If you are going to use your truck to haul both a fifth wheel and a gooseneck, this is a less expensive way to go over against the B&W turnover ball with a Companion fifth wheel. If you are only planning to haul a gooseneck, the B&W is about the same cost.

Many manufacturers are now preparing their trucks from the factory with gooseneck or fifth wheel “pucks.” We also sell goosenecks that fit trucks with these modifications.
